What is Walk 100km with your dog?

We are challenging you to walk 100km with your dog, the equivalent to 3.3km a day, throughout November. Unlike other events, you get to choose where, when and how you walk the distance.

When you sign up, you’ll receive a personalised JustGiving fundraising page where you can log your kilometres, share progress, earn virtual badges and collect donations from your supporters.

Our thriving Facebook community is open from October through to December. Connect with your fellow dog walkers, share your story and pictures of your pup, ask questions and celebrate each other’s progress.

How your fundraising helps

There are currently almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but we can't do this without your support.

From the price of a takeaway coffee to your £165 target, every donation makes a difference:

£10 could lead to the Money Advisers team on the Macmillan Support Line helping people affected by cancer find out about £261 in benefits they could be entitled to.

£25 could pay for 50 copies of the new edition of Preparing a child for loss, a resource we’ve produced in partnership with Winston’s Wish.

Nurse icon.

£41 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

£88 could pay for 200 copies of our LGBTQ+ people and cancer booklet. This booklet has information about navigating healthcare, cancer and cancer treatment for people from LGBTQ+ communities. This content was created in partnership with the charity OUTpatients, a support charity for LGBTIQ+ people who have had a cancer diagnosis.

£187 could provide someone living with cancer with eight sessions of emotional support from one of our Macmillan Buddies.

£305 could pay for a Macmillan Information and Support Manager for one day, giving people living with cancer the opportunity to ask questions and talk through their concerns at one of our Macmillan Information and Support Centres.

£815 could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker for one week, helping people living with cancer receive the support they need.
